el solcito me sanó

Hola todos!!

This week we found a ton of new people who are so ready to hear about the gospel. It's been so sweet to teach them and invite members to come with us. My comp and I have been trying to get a variety of members involved and its paying off. We have a friend who was less active but hes been coming back to church and helping us a lot with our lessons. He loves sharing his testimony because he loves the church and wants to help people. Hes looking into serving a senior mission and also has 2 kids that we've been teaching and the spirit is always so strong when we're with them.

God is so good because this week it was so hot out!!! I was actually sick this week but I think the weather got me feeling better hahah. We went to a soccer game for the paredes family and watched Martin, Emiliano, and Lautaro play! We are teaching all of their families so it was sooo good to go support them and hang out.

This week I was studying about Ammon and found something that I love! King Lamoni's dad was trying to kill Ammon and so he cut his arm which is a typical ammon move. But I love the kings response to that:
And when he saw that Ammon had no desire to destroy him, and when he also saw the great love he had for his son Lamoni, he was astonished exceedingly, and said: Because this is all that thou hast desired, that I would release thy brethren, and suffer that my son Lamoni should retain his kingdom, behold, I will grant unto you that my son may retain his kingdom from this time and forever; and I will govern him no more— And I will also grant unto thee that thy brethren may be cast out of prison, and thou and thy brethren may come unto me, in my kingdom; for I shall greatly desire to see thee. For the king was greatly astonished at the words which he had spoken, and also at the words which had been spoken by his son Lamoni, therefore he was desirous to learn them.

I love how the spirit was able to heal the kings heart. He was probably angry at Ammon for cutting his arm and he definitely was going to hold a grudge for life, so i feel like his reaction in these verses is a miracle inspired by God. The spirit can heal us from these feelings of anger in our personal lives. It can soften our hearts so we have the ability to see the situation as it really is, and it can help us have a real desire to come to know God and His plan a little bit better.

Love you allll
Hermana Stewart
