Pushing The Van
Time to catch you up on the pday adventure we went on last week! Our friends Antonio and Carlos rented a van and invited some more missionaries to come too and we hiked to a waterfall! Except the van didn't work so well... on the way up the road the van broke down so we all got out and started pushing, and then it started and we got on our way. We made it to the hike and everything was so pretty!! Then when we all got back to the van, it wouldn't start. So we push it again and Antonio tries to get it to start but it didn't work, and then it was stuck between 2 hills. Basically the rest of the story is that we pushed the van a ton, it would start for about 5 min and then stop, and we asked like 3 random people who live out there for help. We got home way later than expected BUT it was so worth it!! It was such a fun experience and we had two friends in teaching there so it was a bonding experience for sure. Plus they joined us when we prayed for the van to work, and they saw us sharing the gospel with the people who helped us. It was such an inspired trip.
This week my comp and I dropped off our other comp Hermana Robertson at the airport to head home. I love this girl so much!! She has such a strong spirit and has impacted so many people here in Chile. I miss laughing with her a ton, but she's taking care of her mental health for a bit and should be back in a couple of months.
Before she left, we were able to go do service for our friends AnalĂa and Guinther and painted their fence outside. After that we had a lesson and Antonio came too, and it was so good!!! He was telling them all about getting married and going to church together, he said all the things we wanted them to hear and the spirit was so strong. There have been so many "coincidences" like that this week which really shows that God's hand is in this work. One of our friends is preparing to be baptized and we basically meet up with him everyday, and you can tell that God is blessing him and that the spirit is working in him. I love being a missionary and seeing miracles!! Whether you are a missionary or not, I know God is always working them in your lives because He loves you
