car accident

Hola hola!!

I have so much to tell you guys!! Last Monday we got to go to a waterfall! It was so beautiful and there was so much water that even standing close to it got you soaked. It was so pretty and I cant wait to go back again. I have seen so many miracles these past couple days and I am so excited to tell you about them!

Every week we have a district meeting and talk about our goals for the week. This past time we decided that as a district we were going to beat all of our records for our numbers. That meant we had to find the most people we had ever found for that transfer, and also invite people to church, have lessons with members, etc. It was so crazy because our goal was basically impossible. We started the week with only one friend and he was out of town for the week, so we started at level 0. We worked so so hard this week to meet our goals and had so much faith that God could make it happen. Within the first couple days we met our finding goal and that just hyped us up more, but by the time Saturday night came around, we had 0 people confirmed to come to church with us the next day. All of the friends that we had at the moment were from that week, and nobody really felt comfortable going to church with us because they just met us, which was completely understandable.

Sunday comes around and we welcome people into the church before the meeting starts, and there's no sign of anyone. We sit down and the meeting starts, and one by one, random people started walking into the church. Turns out, a ton of the members decided to invite their friends and it was a big miracle that helped us reach our goal. Obviously the mission is not just about numbers, but this week was a competition with our district and we refused to show up empty handed. God is so good even when we need His help with the little things.

BUT it gets better!!

This is probably one of the coolest miracles I have ever seen in my mission. Last night we had an hour to go visit a neighborhood and visit some of the members to get to know them better. Every time we leave the house we say a prayer, and this time it was my turn. Usually I don't really pray for protection in our travels because we leave the house so much and its so repetitive, but anyways, this time I did without even thinking about it, it just kinda happened. So we get going and cross a busy street. We make it to the median and three seconds later a car crashes into it and we were right there. Literally so scary. We turn around and we couldn't even see anyone in the car at first, because he was leaned over from the impact. We had just studied the emergency numbers in Chile, (another miracle) and the cops were able to come and get everything figured out. Turns out, the guys was drunk driving and so they handcuffed him and threw him in their car. I've never seen anything like that happen in real life and my heart broke for him.

A member family from the other ward in our church building lives on that street, and so while the cops figured everything out, we were able to talk to them. They helped us explain what happened and took care of everything legal for us because we didn't really know how to go about that. They invited us in after and we talked with them, and they explained how they had just spent a week up at the temple. Their light and spirit was so strong, they were like the cute old couple that always serves in the temple. I hadn't realized how much I miss that, but God knew that's where we needed to be after the crash had happened. I am so grateful that we didn't get hit by a drunk driver haha. Here's some pictures so you guys can see, hopefully I explained it well enough but you get the idea.

Every day is a blessing!

I love you all so much!
