Dios existe❤️
Hola todos!!
Hermana Stamper and I have really tried to focus on enjoying the mission ever since we became companions. We try to do something small every day to enjoy the mission a little bit more, and weve seen so many miracles! This week has been so full of awesome experiences but these were some of my favorites:
☆ we traveled tothe country side to visit a member who hasn't been coming to church a lot lately. Last time we were there we planned to come back with some ingredients so we could make lemon meringue pie together. It's my favorite dessert ever but after that day I made a pact with myself that Im gonna chill out with the pie for a bit because we ate so much. It was like a thanksgiving day meal except only with lemon meringue pie. But it was so good because we had so much fun and were able to feel the Spirit so strong in her home, and served her in a moment where she really needed it.
☆ Okay if you guys remember our best friend Julian, we had a lesson with him this week and it was so bomb. We tried having a lesson with him once, but he told us he doesn't believe in God and isn't super interested in learning more.
We continued to keep building our relationship with him anyways, and this week we were able to have a really good discussion about who God is and what our purpose is here on this Earth. It was so amazing to feel God working through us as missionaries. As we asked him inspired questions following the guidance of the spirit, Julian began to repeat things he had already said, admitting that he didnt know how to explain what he thought, and he felt like everything was unclear and felt stumped. We gave him a Book of Mormon with a few passages highlighted and invited him to read them and let us know what he thought.
☆ After the lesson, we walked in the same direction with him because he had to go the same way as us, and all of a sudden it started pouring rain. None of us had rain coats but it was soooo fun. We got soaked but we had so much fun just laughing and enjoying the rain, it's a moment I'll never forget. It was a huge sign of how much God loves us. Once we all got home, about an hour later Julian texted us and told us he will never forget the talk we had, and that he read the verses in the Book of Mormon and felt that there's a lot bigger of a possibility that God is real. That was such a huge miracle.
If anything, having that lesson only solidified that I know God exists, and that He is our Heavenly Father who knows and loves us. When you think about it, everything testifies that God is real and that He loves us and wants what is best for us.
Love you all so much!!
Hermana Stewart
