Happy Halloween

 Hola todos!! 

This week we were able to travel to Osorno for a multizone conference and it was a really cool experience! They sent us 3 verses in the Book of Mormon to study before we got there, (Alma 23: 4-6) and we needed to prepare a 10 minute message on it to share in the conference. It's pretty cool you can learn so much from such a small section. One thing that I loved is how we need to convert ourselves before we can convert others. In these verses we can learn that the King was first converted before his people were. He had a lasting change in his heart and mind that enabled him to feel the spirit and receive revelation to help his people. When we have a desire to change our hearts and minds and grow closer to God, we too can receive revelation for ourselves and for others. This process of conversion is ongoing, not just a singular event. As we make a daily effort to strengthen our conversion and feel the spirit in our lives, God can work miracles in us and we will never fall away. 

The highlight of the week was definitely the branch activity for halloween! Our friend Andres came and he dressed up as Elvis, and He sang 3 songs in English and it was so good!! Surprisingly a lot of the members here are working really hard to learn English, so it's really cool to see that. My comp and I dressed up as zombies (we drew some lines on our faces) and then danced to Thriller by Michael Jackson. We're basically the coolest missionaries Paillaco has ever seen! 

Tuesday morning we will find out more about transfers, and everyone keeps saying that I'm going to end up training a new missionary. If that happens I have no idea what I'm gonna do, mainly because it'll be so crazy teaching Spanish when I barely know what's going on. But between you and me, I secretly really want to train because it'll be so hard but so fun to have a daughter :) Either way, I will let you guys know what happens soon!!
