priesthood miracle
I'm soooo happy!!!!! This week was crazy!
1. MY BEST FRIEND DAVID GOT BAPTIZED!!!!!!!
If you don't remember, he was the tatooed pierced guy with a mullet that I started talking to in the street in Osorno. God literally separated him from everyone else the day we met. We were waiting at a cross walk and everyone crossed when the light was red except for my comp and I, and David. I started talking to him and got his number, and then we started teaching him! We had a ton of lessons with him and he is such an amazing and kind guy, he just lived in the other ward boundaries so the elders started teaching him right before we got transferred out. When they sent me the pic of him in white I almost started crying because God is just too good. I love this work.
2. CARLOS DIDNT GET BAPTIZED YET BUT GOD HEALED HIS BACK
At church yesterday Carlos showed up but in a lot of pain because about a week ago he pulled his back. He works as a chiropractor/kinisiologist and he's been treating himself but it's been taking a while to get better. On Sunday I asked him if he wanted to get a blessing, and one of the hermanas overheard and so she got her husband and the branch president all organized and everything happened so fast. Before we knew it, we saw Carlos walking out of their office with the biggest smile I think I've ever seen. He was walking all fast and bending over to test it and he kept saying he didnt believe it. He was healed instantly and we were all freaking out. It was one of the coolest things ever, and it was definitely a part of God's plan that he didn't get baptized yet because he needed to have this experience beforehand. I love how the temporary setback was actually a key point in His plan and in Carlos' conversion process.
3. I RAN A HALF MARATHON
Last pday I ran a half marathon with some missionaries. We didn't train for it, we just decided to go do it and it was amazing. It was hard but running along the coast for a couple hours with your friends wasn't that bad at all. We did something I never thought I'd be able to do which was so rewarding and fun and now I want to do it again :)
This week has been amazing!! I am so grateful to be here witnessing miracles and doing hard things. I know God has a perfect plan for each one of us, including the minor setbacks that come up. I love being a member of Christs restored church. The joy that comes from sharing God's love is so real.
I love you all!!
