Buenas Suerte Hermana Makenna Stewart! -Saying goodbye at the Denver Airport

A sweet member caught us in our last goodbye and asked if she could take our picture for us.

Lots of tears of joy yesterday and today as we said our farewells to our precious girl. Damon gave her a father’s blessing last night and then we cried a lot. **Most of us went to bed early (see comments).

Then we got up at 1 AM to drop our missionary off at the airport- only to find that the suggested 3 hour early arrival was about an hour too early- the check-in desk doesn’t even open that early!

She is headed to SLC where she will fly on a plane full of missionaries with her district to Mexico where she will be taken by bus to the Mexico MTC. I wish I could see that plane full of missionaries!! I hope they sing Called to Serve!

We will miss this bright light in our lives this next year and a half. But we look forward to hearing about her arrival at about 5pm tonight and about all her experiences at the Mexico MTC and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in Osorno Chile.

See you around Christmas 2023 Hermana Stewart! We will be working along side of you gathering and serving here in the states! God be with you till we meet again. We love you so, SO much!!

Last family selfie for a while!

Waiting for the check in desk to open.

Missionaries in Osorno, Chile get to wear back packs because it is so rainy and they need to be water proof. However in the Mexico MTC she will have to carry it like a book bag with the top handle- so as not to look like a student.
